The MellowTones perform on April 28 at Kroc Center
The MellowTones
The MellowTones mix great quartet lyrics with great sounds. The “Tones” fuse mellow sounds with outstanding stylings backed by an outstanding group of talented young musicians. Bruce Clay, when offered this opportunity to be a part of the inaugural season of TGQS stated “yes I like the concept, yes I get it, count us in”. Thanks Bruce and the MellowTones for helping us at TGQS lay the foundation for an outstanding quartet concert series.

The Southern Sons
Featuring its legendary leader, Bob Holloway, this quartet needs no introduction to TGQS’ developing fan base. The Southern Sons are accustomed to doing most of its work outside the Mid-South as a featured quartet or as part of an all-star line-up. TGQS is pleased to present this unique opportunity for our fans to see why audiences around the country view The Southern Sons as one of the outstanding quartets in America. Come be a part of a “to-be-treasured” concert performance of this legendary quartet.
The Strong Soldiers, TGQS, April 28
The Strong Soldiers
This quartet finds its roots in the Delta but has developed a distinctive style that transcends the region. The Soldiers, coming off of its performance for more than a thousand people at the annual Martin Luther King Holiday program featuring nationally-acclaimed quartets, take the stage as part of the 2013 TGQS. During the Resurrection Day service at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, The Strong Soldiers previewed their upcoming April 28 performance at TGQS to a warm and receptive church of worshippers.
